Liberals taunted Bush that OBL was not caught, however, if he was caught while Bush was in office, liberals would claim it was staged or dimiss the effort. During Bush's tenure, Obama was one of the far left leaders in the senate, demanding our military and CIA should be charged with war crimes; captured terrorists must have rights of US citizens and Gitmo must be shut down. The WH has control of the military, the WH demanded the military keep the WH informed if the trail of OBL became active. So, when the efforts of the CIA and military (the very same groups that Senator Obama wanted to charge with war crimes for being too tough on terrorists) paid off, the WH demanded to be involved in the capture and killing of OBL. The WH insisted to be involved so they could take credit if something good came of it. So, the military took care of business, we are grateful for Obama, who got out of the way, allowed our military to do their jobs without interfering; certainly, Senator Obama would have demanded punishment for killing OBL if it happened while Bush was in office.
